Gus will be there as he won the free ticket at the Bull's halloween thingy if I remember correctly. Scott Henderson lives down south somewhere, and became a father earlier this year (he got a sh*g at last!!!!). Teuchter Craig DJ's at the Mission (surely you knew this?), which is where he'll be on the 22nd. Mansell?? dunno, saw him last week in the Bull with Del. ......er.....I too had a favorite spot I always stood in, and know more people who were there now, than I knew at the time, if that makes any sense??

The last time I saw Mansell he told me he was running a highly confidential IT business providing contact information to third world countries...your guess is as good as mine?

no.....I can't....as far as I know it, Mansel is fine, alive and well and living in Balerno. I told Welly about the reunion but can't verify whether either brother will attend.
ps: think I might have got mr henderson confused with another scott in an earlier post.

Shit I spelt Mansel wrong, only one "l", I think I told him about it some months ago and I think he was threatening to put Mansel Storme back together Could be worse, could be the New Edinburgh Dolls........

Now "Big H"......that would be interesting ;D A lot of people on this message board seem to be getting worried about how many of their "ex's" might turn up next Saturday.....if the New Edinburgh Dolls were to reform for the night, a certain Mr Swan could be "up to his eyeballs in the brown stuff" on that front Off to try on my 10 year old 28 inch waist strides....ouch...

I'm sure he'll be at the Sundowns gig tho as his musical tastes have "mellowed" with his haircuts. If the Swan says we're guid then it must be true!

Memories from Madisons...........Let me see.......... It was such a long time ago........and I was sooooooo young!!! One thing that does jump out was the "Silly Sessions" they had. I remember one night when I was yet again drunk on cider (it's the devils drink ) that they played Rolf Harris' version of "Stairway to Heaven" I launched myself on to the dance floor and was cutting a rug with the best of them when I looked up and saw that I was the ONLY one cutting the proverbial rug!! Caring not a jot I stayed on the dance floor until the song was finished!! ;D

I have been racking my brains to try and remember all the various venues i have attended over the past ***** years to hear decent rock music in Edinburgh and I have come up with this list. If any one can rthink of some I have missed due to being too inebriated to remember please remind me!
Chambers st union, clowns, Rocko's/ Rumours, the jailhouse/venue, various incarnations of the mission including double-decks wheels on wed night, annabells (whatever happened to Mike Sword?), carousel, rock machine at the citrus club, some pub on Lothian road that has been closed for years that Ian did a few nights in before the management got a good look at us and binned it, upstairs at what is now the cavandish & might have been called the bermuda triangle, something on a sunday night in corstorphine on a recommendation by cubes(bad idea), legends/kasbah/la sorbonne/opium, the fire station & the firkin at Hunters sq (rock on Tommy), The spiders web then & now, and of course maddies not forgetting the pubs usually run by Morty or Jeff with decent juke boxes. if any one can remember seeing me at any others please remind me!

The pub in Lothian Road was The Burnt Post, if memory serves, unless you mean Pipers further down although that was sometime in the 80's, as was Ricky Martins' Rock nights at that place in Abbeyhill, and can anyone else remember the 24 Hour sponsored head bang at the Abercorn Inn?? I've still got the program here somewhere, just cant remember where, i'll try and find it before Saturday, and there was the Nite Club. I've just reread your post and I now think the pub in Lothian Road was further up where Spook Errection was (older peeps will know what I mean here), god my memory sucks, and another thing my memory's not good either..............
i'll get me coat.
