aha..Rocky, now you reveal why you asked if the cut was good. ;D Surely that type of raggedy cut was in then ?? you must have been able to get away with the look.. I stopped going to the salon as I had a goth friend, who did amazing things with my hair. However, I had gone to raeburn place and once to the bruntsfield place salon. I remember Paul being there getting his highlights done. He was a good lookin'young guy- and knew it. Query for you - why does he use a different name ?

Hey TC! That's just what I was thinking Maybe people change their names for 'stage' reasons. Or maybe he was on the dole and didn't want his Rampant royalties deducted from his giro Hmmm...I never asked if any cut was good...that was Sweeney Todd!

Do I detect a slight hint of bitchiness there, guys??! Paul had the chiselled cheekbones, highlighted hair, heroin-chic thin body and attitude required at the time, by all aspiring young, rock gods. Nevermind, It's a well known fact I have very dubious taste in men and it follows that my perception of good looks is probably slightly askew.

Rock god? Chiselled cheek bones? Hmmm - I remember he had a very slight frame but not convinced re the cheek bones. Mind you... it was a good few years ago when we were all younger and naive/gullible!
You didnt partake in an episode with clingfilm with the said Paul Mann did you?
Talking of Paul - does anybody know what became of his sister Michelle?

LOL !! Clingfilm ?? Nope, never, not me. But please tell......Have done many things in life, but fun with clingfilm (with paul) isn't one of them. Have I missed out on something exciting ? Although, I said Paul had the rock "look" of the time, I never said he was of the type I liked...not wild, crazy, left of centre or different enough. Don't suppose you know what the folks we mentioned are up to nowadays ?as this was the original point... ps. let's end this thread soon as it's boring..unless the clingfilm story is interesting...

Clingfilm can be great fun. If you haven't tried it......try it soon. It's great for suffocating folk. ;D

The guitarist (Kev i think his name was) from Midnightblue ended up in the band GUN for their last Album and then did a few Robbie Williams Albums and live shows (The "Let me entertain you" video is him) but i belive he got sacked for drinking a bit too much!

Thanks Jake. can't remember that guitarist, bad memory - but then we all used to get exceedingly drunk at the Pres in those days. Sadly, I have to admit to having seen Robbie Williams play at several festivals - NOT through choice though, I hasten to add, I just happened to be working at the festivals. He sucked at Glastonbury !! But then he was a warm-up for Bob Dylan.

No decent rocker would forgive his "let me entertain you" video.

One of them, the one with the big nose - Paul? went off to the states and I believe was signed to a record label over there, about to make it big time but if I remember right he was involved in a pretty horrific car crash and nearly died, it was on the front page of the evening news at the time, but my memory's embarrassingly ropey. My mate Louise went out with Dave from Last Orders for about a week - as you did in those days LOL ;D

I went out with Paul Mann for a while, I have always wondered what happened to him and lost touch. He was the love of my life at that time, but I'm now happily married to someone else with a gorgeous baby girl but I have often wondered how he was as his health was not great post-accident. Found this thread but heard nothing else. I hope he is alive and well. If anyone else knows he is OK that would be appreciated.
